Privacy Policy

Who we are
CalcCraft (https://calc-craft.com) provides free construction and home-improvement calculators. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. Questions about this policy can be sent to contact@calc-craft.com.
The contact form
When you submit the contact form, the name, email (if provided, it is optional), and message you write are sent to our server and forwarded to an internal Telegram conversation, only so we can read and reply. We keep the message only as long as needed to answer it.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our hosting infrastructure automatically logs standard technical data for every request — IP address, browser and device type, and the pages you visit — for security, abuse prevention, and troubleshooting. We do not use this data to build an advertising profile of you.
Local storage (not cookies)
Your language, unit system (metric/imperial), and light/dark theme choices are saved in your browser’s local storage, not in a cookie. This data never leaves your device and clearing your browser data resets it.
Cookies and advertising
CalcCraft does not currently run any advertising or analytics script. We plan to fund this site with Google AdSense and to measure traffic with Google Analytics; this section already describes how those work so it does not need to change the day they are switched on (only the date above will).
Once enabled, third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites, and Google Analytics uses cookies to measure how visitors use the site. You can review or opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings or, for other participating networks, at aboutads.info. Opting out does not stop ads from appearing, it makes them less tailored to you. You can read more about how Google uses data from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
The cookie banner shown on this site lets you accept or decline non-essential cookies before any advertising or analytics script runs; declining keeps your visit cookie-free.
Data protection rights (EEA, UK, and similar jurisdictions)
If you are located in the European Economic Area, the UK, or another jurisdiction with similar data protection laws, you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, correct it, request its erasure, restrict or object to its processing, receive it in a portable format, and withdraw consent at any time (for example, by declining the cookie banner). Where we or our advertising/analytics partners rely on your consent to show personalized ads or run analytics, none of that runs until you consent. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at contact@calc-craft.com. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
California privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and why, to request its deletion, and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information as those terms are defined under California law — a category that can include advertising cookies used for cross-context behavioral advertising. CalcCraft does not sell personal information for money. Declining the cookie banner opts you out of any such “sharing” once advertising cookies are enabled, and we honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal where legally required. Requests can be sent to contact@calc-craft.com.
Children’s privacy
This site is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required by your local law), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information to us through the contact form, contact us and we will delete it.
Third-party links and content
Some pages link to external sites, and, once enabled, the site may display ads served by third parties such as Google. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those third parties — review their own policies before sharing information with them.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page whenever what we collect or how we use it changes, including before switching on advertising or analytics for the first time, and update the date at the top of this page.
Your rights and contact
To access, correct, or request deletion of a message you sent, exercise any right described above, or ask any other question about privacy, write to contact@calc-craft.com or through the Contact page. See also our Terms of Use.
